 On Friday, December 4, 2009 the members of Better Than Ezra along with BTE Foundation board members presented The Audubon Nature Institute with a check for $50,000.00. The donation will go directly to the Cool Zoo project which is a remarkable “Splash Park” being built within the Audubon Zoo. The tropical oasis water park is set to open in 2010 and Audubon CEO Ron Forman had this to say at the presentation:
"The members of Better Than Ezra are actively enriching their community, setting an example of service certain to inspire others to do the same. And they are doing this with a sense of spirit and fun, inviting us all to come along for the ride. We're thrilled they chose Audubon Zoo for this very generous donation - and we'll make sure they're among the first to be dunked and soaked when The Cool Zoo opens next spring."

The 2007 Ezra Open was a swinging success! Thanks to all who participated and donated to the Foundation. We hope you had as great a time as we did! We are now offering some limited edition one-time only merchandise from the 2007 Ezra Open. These items include sports bags, hats and umbrellas all with the Ezra Open event logo and are currently available in the "Store" section. These items are offered in exchange for a donation to the BTE Foundation. Also, be sure to check out the photos from the Ezra Open Golf Outing, Concert, and Auction here. The 2007 Ezra Open planning is in full swing, so mark your calendars for Friday, September 28th. The Celebrity Golf Outing will be held at English Turn Golf & CC in the morning, with the VIP Patron Party Concert & Auction scheduled for that evening, at Harrah's Casino Theater. We are very honored to announce that Harrah's New Orleans Casino & Hotel and Ochsner Health Systems have signed on as presenting and title sponsors of this year's event. Special thanks to the New Orleans Saints, which has committed to a golf sponsorship and donated some very exciting auction items, that any sports fan would want to display in their home or office. Metro International Trade Services, the industry leader in warehousing, distribution, and logistics of nonferrous-metals, has secured a golf sponsorship as a means to entertain their clients while giving back to New Orleans . All funds raised will stay in the New Orleans area to help continue the rebuilding efforts from the damaged inflicted by Hurricanes Katrina & Rita.
